You should have received a popup telling you that your privacy settings at geocaching.com (https://www.geocaching.com/account/settings/userprivacy) is preventing some of the functionality on Project-GC. This is new and a change that Geocaching HQ has demanded.

Basically regarding challenge checkers for example you can't run challenge checkers if you don't have your "Geocaches found" setting set to public.

Also note that it may take up to 8 hours for Project-GC to detect a change in the privacy settings. If you are lucky a logout and login at Project-GC might hasten the process. Another alternative to make the privacy changes update faster is `Support button -> Self-support -> Refresh number of finds`. It's a queue though, so the time for that one will vary.

From PGC Facebook:

UPDATE - Regarding challenge checkers and privacy settings

Earlier this evening we were instructed by Geocaching HQ that we should revert the change made Tuesday morning (CET) to Project-GC Challenge Checkers. As such, we have once again made Challenge Checkers possible to execute irrespective of the ‘Geocaches found’ privacy setting.

Thank you to everyone for your patience while we navigated the complex situation in cooperation with Geocaching HQ. This past week has involved challenging discussions, both with the Lackeys in Seattle as well as members of our community. We are now happy to be back on the same page as Geocaching HQ.
